Custom Fabrication of a Fused Quartz Evaporating Dish for a Research Lab in the Chemical Industry
The quartz evaporating dish highlighted here is used in a range of industries and applications. This custom fused quartz evaporating dish was formed by the process of turning on a glass blowing lathe. This evaporating dish featured dimensions 53.3mm in height, with an outside diameter of 110mm. This process is able to produce quartz laboratory ware such as this evaporating dish to tolerances of ±1mm. After fabrication, the dishes are then fire polished before a final inspection which consists of dimensional and visual inspections.
